Dupont Underground

If you live in DC and you have not yet heard of Dupont Underground, you have to take a tour. If you’re visiting DC and want to experience the city like a local, you should also visit and take a tour.

Dupont Underground is a nonprofit organization and an old underground streetcar station.  Now a hip arts and culture center, it’s worth a visit. There’s lots of modern art and graffiti. It’s the ultimate hipster experience.

The tours cost $15 per person and you can find the calendar of events online here. You’ll get to hear about the history while enjoying art. I don’t want to give away too much, but some parts of the tour are even a little spooky. You’ll just have to go and see for yourself.
