Happy (Almost) Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is next week! What are your dinner plans?

If you’re hosting, you may be stressed out about how to decorate your table. Don’t worry- you can find items from around your home or local grocery store to spruce up a standard dinner table.

  1. Always keep in mind that you can never go wrong with candles and flowers. I’m personally drawn to using fruits as additional decoration. My husband and I both love fruits and often eat them for dessert.
  2. The pears pictured are from Harry & David, but I removed the gold wrapper. I think if you have time to purchase specialty pears and wrap them all in gold foil, it could be a nice touch. Adding escort cards in the shape of leaves would complete the look.
  3. Set the table well in advance of your expected guest arrival so you don’t have to worry if something is placed incorrectly. You’ll see in the image above that my husband turned one of the knives the wrong direction. Click here to see a helpful table setting guide.

Happy Holidays! I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I’m thankful for the quality time I will spend next week with my parents (who live across the country).
