I had a wonderful 4th of July weekend and I hope you did as well!
I first purchased this basic nail design kit from CVS. Then, I painted my nails in all white. Once my white nails dried, I used one of the skinny brushes in the kit to hand-draw the red and blue stripes. I added some glittery stars (also from the kit). I was finally ready for the holiday weekend.
Friday, July 4th, my family and I watched some baseball at the Rochester Red Wings stadium, followed by fireworks and patriotic music.
The next day we got up really early to play golf. I was lucky that we played in a golf scramble tournament (or best ball) as I would have struggled to play on my own. I’m a novice golf player so I was pleased that I was able to make contact with the golf ball and provide the “best ball” at least once.
The most entertaining part of the weekend occurred while my Uncle and I were sailing on Sunday. All of a sudden the wind picked up and the mast fell over! Some strangers had to tug us to shore because we didn’t have a paddle on board. Luckily no one was hurt and we were able to laugh about it after.
During the weekend, I also enjoyed the Birthday party of my first cousin once removed. We ate burgers and hot dogs hot off the grill along with delicious ice cream cake, perfect for any summer event.
The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays because I get to enjoy the typically sunny, summer day. And I also love fireworks; anyone who wants to entertain family and/or friends on July 4th doesn’t have to pay for entertainment because firework shows can be free.
How did you celebrate the holiday? Please feel free to post firework pictures in the comments!
