Super Bowl Cake

Caution: reading this post might make your teeth hurt. But if you decide to make this brownie, every other part of you (besides your teeth) will thank you. This recipe is easy and delicious; all you will need is chocolate chip cookie dough, Oreos, and brownie mix. I love Ghirardelli chocolate chip cookie and brownie mixes, but I always add a pinch of salt and a drop of vanilla extract.

Once you’ve made the cookie dough and brownie mix, heat the oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9×9 inch pan. Then, layer the cake like so:

(Yes, those are chocolate chips in the brownie mix).

Now bake this amazing brownie for 30-35 minutes. And then share it with your friends and family. They will only be able to eat small portions of this decadent dessert, but they will love you so much for baking it.

If you want to go all out, you can decorate it for a special event such as the Super Bowl.

I used this recipe (with a pinch of salt) to make buttercream frosting. Then I added food coloring to create the colors for the different teams. I also decorated the brownie with green and silver sprinkles to add some pizzazz.

My friends loved the cake and ate all of it within a day of the Super Bowl. I hope you go home and bake a super brownie this weekend as a Valentine’s gift to yourself (and maybe your loved one too).
