With many, possible allergies (and even diet fads), it’s important to be proactive when planning the menu for your event.
First, give participants a clear registration deadline. When choosing a deadline, make sure to leave yourself time to finalize the guest count and send any allergies to your caterer.

Also make sure to give your guests space to fill out “other.” I was once given a full page of allergies for just one person!
Even if you haven’t had a guest report themselves as “vegetarian,” I suggest adding a few extra vegetarian options.
If you’re displaying food on a buffet, make sure to label it. Work with your caterer to plan the menu in advance and create table tent cards, listing all the foods.
